Hello everyone

Post by JORDAN » 24 May 2023, 09:58

My name is Jordan and I am based in Aberdeen / Scotland

I can't stay away from the sea.

As I have no access to a garage or space for a trailer, I've always had inflatable boats which can be conveniently rolled and transported in a small car ( Skoda Fabia, Volkswagen Polo , etc )

I have started 10 years ago with a 2.2m and a 3.5hp 4 stroke mariner, planning to explore the North East Coast and my local waters at displacement speed.

Shortly after that I felt the need of carrying some gear with me in order to cover long distances along the coast and be able to stay overnight in my tent.

Went through a few setups, boat/engine and the most compatible one for me was proved to be at the end a HONWAVE T32i with an air V floor and a 4 stroke Yamaha 9.9HP.

In this configuration I have explored a vast areas of my local waters, north coast and a small part of the north west coast of Scotland.

As I am 56 now, apparently my body starts wearing a bit and I've got the first signs of lifting limitations.

As a result of that I have recently sold my heavy Yamaha 9.9HP ( 43Kg ) and bought a 6HP ( 27Kg ) which I am assuming that can be easily lifted and moved around when necessary.

I have also sold my Honwave T32i and replace it with a new F-rib 330 .

Donny Wilcox, you were right .......this F-rib and 6HP setup is unbeatable.......thank you for inspiring us, thank you for sharing your wisdom and thank you for your lovely videos.

I am willing to meet people around my area which share the same interests , I can also travel down south for a meeting / adventure on the sea.

Wish you all the best guys and thank you for your time.

A great combo... both the t32 and the frib!

Both great at what they can do... and a bit more.

Welcome! . And I waved @chrisparish last week as he refuelled the mvs rib as I was teaching pb2 ... Great to see members out and about. 😀
