1991 zodiac futura with speed tubes

Post by buckwrmrp_1 » 26 Apr 2021, 15:19

Im new to this forum and also a new owner of a zodiac Futura Mark III with speed tubes. This is a SIB and I’m wondering about engine placement on a boat with speed tubes. I have a 2012 to half to long shaft and as is the motor is set to deep and water comes up over the transom. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Rex

Hey, I have a 1991 MK II Futura and the best option is to raise your trim level. Also, you could get a hydrofoil/plainer for the motor, which can hopefully help too!

Can you raise the outboard using a block between the outboard and transom ?
Most do that but you must ensure the engine clamps grab the transom fully.

Martin. :cheers
