Hi from Cornwall
Hi all - new to the Damp Side although we have a Warrior 170 that we use most weeks for fishing. We fancied something a little more 'portable' for van holidays and some closer inshore fishing. About to pick up a 2021 Honwave T32ie with a 15HP Honda from someone who bought new this year but things did not pan out as they expected. Here for any tips, tricks, shortcuts and recommendations.

Re: Hi from Cornwall
Many thanks for the welcome. With retirement looming we are trying to get all our ducks in-line (a rubber one in this instance).
I picked the outfit up last night and intend to have a trial ‘home’ setup up this morning. No doubt my creaky knees will be screaming for assistance shortly so I’m guessing a good 12v pump will be high on my shopping list so I will be searching the forum for recommendations.
The previous owner purchased two bench seats for it so again I will be looking for recommendations for fishing rod mounts to fix to the forward bench. I don’t know much but I’m guessing that I don’t screw them to the tubes

Re: Hi from Cornwall
Railblaza do a superb range of all the mounts you could imagine.. whether rail mounted, stuck on mounts or glued mounts and attachments, they do them all.
If you do go down the mounting route, please take a look out our forum support and trading members website, https://land-and-sea.co.uk/24-railblaza .. buying from there helps support them and helps to keep the forum running.
Ps.. I personally use Railblaza for all my mounting options and nav lights..
it’s superb gear !

Re: Hi from Cornwall
If you just want rod storage have a look my " DIY Epistle " thread.
I made a couple from 40mm drain pipe and made use of the lifting rings on the inside of the transom.
I have just had 12 days up at Oban buzzing around at 10 knots an fishing inbetween, successfully for once. They did the job for me vertical and out the way at the rear.
When fishing static or trolling i always hold onto my rods, even though i have the old kayak leashes handy. That's my preference.
Regards Clive

Re: Hi from Cornwall
Many thanks - we use the Railblaza system on the Warrior. They were fitted when we got her, so will probably go down that route. Look forward to shaking her down.
