Re: The fun begins
Hi Patrick, It sounds like things aren't quite going to plan there buddy.
In my humble opinion... Screwing the transom wheels to the transom is going to end in catastrophic failure !!
!!
Bolting through the transom is the way to go.
Most of us drill through the transom and use a marine sealant in and around the bolt holes to keep the transom free from water ingress, There is a better way but it's time consuming so most opt for the sealer method.
If things are missing from the order, get onto Excel and ask for them to be put right... Customer is king !!
The forum is a great source of help and info, if there’s something specific you need help with and can't find it.. don't be afraid to ask.. We have superb members on here that always go the extra mile to help....

That’s a very nice stand, and I like the colours of the boat.
Your workshop looks good too!

Sorry to hear of your woes, but looks like a great boat and OB! I'll keep my eyes peeled for a blue Excel on the Forth then...

Hello Patrick-H
Looks like a great set up there, you can't beat shiny new outboards.
Just wondered about the stand, would lockable castors help at all then you could trundle it about when required ?

Re: The fun begins
Possibly so, - but I don't really want to raise it any higher as that just makes it more difficult to lift the o/b onto it - as I'm only a short-arse. Maybe chop some off the bottom and set it up so the motor support stays at the same height ...
I was contemplating tapping my son up to see if he still has the wheels from a m'bike paddock stand that I gave him - I could put a pair of them through the front edge without lifting it up much, use the back end for friction - stays put where I leave it, and maybe a couple of handles at the top for a bit of extra wotsit
