Hello!
I'm in North Devon, have. Family of 5 (Including me) and am in the market for a frib or sib and outboard. I have lots of experience at sea but zero experience of of the usual safety measures. I lived on a remote island in the highlands and have a father who worked at sea. I married into a West Coast fishing family too. I'd like to find nice outboard and boat set up but will buy separately if need be. Anyway, nice to be here at last after reading for months!

Re: Hello!
Welcome to the forum dd,
Loads of questions you need to ask, we would need to know what you intend to do with the boat,
Where & how you intend to launch, how many in the boat (all 5 or just one or two), where you intend to go once on the water, storage, budget etc etc.
With some of these things we would have some idea of how big a boat/engine you need, what sort of water (apart from wet) you’d be on, are you inflating each time.
Tidal flows can be quite dangerous as the water flows up the coast into the Severn.

Re: Hello!
Hi DevonDafty, welcome aboard...
Mitch has just about nailed it there in one swift post. We can help you know what's out there to suit your needs once we know what your needs are
Would you be thinking of something new or something used ?
Difficult i know, but an overall available budget would help us too.
Your first few words mention frib or sib, does that mean you require a boat that folds/rolls up or are you looking for a hard shell something that always lives on a trailer ?
Enjoy the forum,
Martin
