High tide at about 1300 so we launched from the beach at about 11-30 and headed for Greater Hangman and Copperas Rock Buoy, fished on the drift with feathers and soft lures but nothing showed, we then anchored for an hour or so and got the usual mix of Pout and Doggies until my Son in law had a very nice Huss of about 8 lbs, decided to go looking for Mackeral again but once more no luck, we saw a charter boat catch 6 or so but that was it.

great fun and the best day of the so called summer so far, but where the heck are the Mackeral? it is August for heavens sake! Are they short in supply everywhere this year??
