Unseasonable weather.

With the weather pretending it's spring and the frogs making whoopee in the pond, the F-Rib came out of hibernation. The rib was given a quick spring clean and a new set of copycat Beachmasters fitted.
Because they are much shorter than the old wheels, I fitted a roller to the trolley to make it easier to get the boat on.
So this morning we headed to sea, more for a shakedown run than a serious fishing session. First drop for me resulted in this little feller, the first of the year. So with great expectation, we fished on, but without any luck at all, then the fog came down.
We continued fishing in the fog for a couple of hours, I had a couple more fish, one keeper, about 3lb, Chris had a couple late on around the 1.5lb mark, that where returned, then we called it a day.
Running back to the beach was fun, I said we must be quite near as I could see a thin line of white water ahead. When I looked to the left I could see a man about 20 yards away, almost parallel with us, he was standing on a spit of sand. Even though we couldn't see the slip, we landed exactly in front of it. The wheels worked well, but I had to put the outboard in shallow drive before we hit the beach.
By the time I'd collected the trolley the fog had lifted.
