Well I needed to fit rod holders to my FRIB-360.
I really liked your solution sailrepair but the way my Suzuki fits on the transom it wasn't really practical. Hard to explain but the engine kind of occupies the small central cut out in the horizontal lip at the top of the transom making your solution more difficult.

So I set about thinking.

Criteria were.

- I didn't want to drill any more holes in the transom other than the 4 holes I have already drilled for my beachmaster wheels.
- It had to be aluminium.
- I wanted it to provide 4 x scotty brackets with out anything fouling on the engine. (2 rod holders, 1 fish finder holder and 1 mobile phone holder for my mobile with navionics app)
- It had to allow the boat to still fully fold up to the same dimensions as before without having to remove the scotty base brackets.
- It had to not foul the engine on full lock either side.

After a lot of fettling below is my solution. I've been out quite a few times now in some very rough conditions and no issues so far. It probably wont win any beauty competitions but that doesn't bother me as long as it works. Hope it may help someone else thinking about it. The blue stuff is velcro that my fishfinder waterproof battery box sticks to.

That's a neat idea Matt, out of the way with a multiple of angles...I ended up bolting a couple of Scotty brackets to the seat, and might try a couple screwed to the transom at some point. Meant to get picies yesterday but completely forgot!

Just be careful when you fold it up. The rear tubes on mine go very close to the transom which would mean they could rub against it.

Looking good though!
