flu and bad weather

Post by JohnD » 19 Jun 2018, 19:19

Well my trip to loch Leven was delayed with a bout of flu. Eventually arrived with my wife and trusty t38. Only to be confronted by storm Hector. Waves a mile high, or so it seemed. It still looked like Wick on one of its better days.

Still, it's all calmed down and I've managed to let the 20 hp Honda rip. Trim was an issue, but I've got it sorted to give 20 kts at full throttle one up. Leaving a stable 10 to 15 kts cruising at any weight. Now bought fishing rod. If I'm a lousy angler, how is the chippy at Tralee? ohyeh

Pics to follow.:-)

Chippy at Tralee is very nice, can't personally vouch for the fish, but my wife enjoyed it.

Get yourself to the rocks at Wick castle to practice, some great fishing down there.

Hi John, not good about Storm Hector or the flu - hope you're better now?

Glad your happy with the 20 on the T38 - we have the same combo too...

I really enjoyed the Tralee Bay chippy, great food and I loved the alfresco dining idea!

:cheers

I can confirm that the fish at Trailee is superb, as are the chips and the stuffed jalapenos

Nice to meet you tonight John and your wife, sorry I couldn’t actually take time out to spend any time with you, but staff issues left me short staffed tonight, hope you enjoyed your suppers :thumbsup
