Re: cleaning the SIB
Hi Steve, congrats on purchase, always exciting to get a new boat. I will get Dom to pop online tomorrow with any suggestions from the Silky range we stock and an intro post on the range as its something he has been involved with for a few years. I particularly like the Silky rib treatment and green cleaner for regular cleans but will see what he suggests for this tougher project. We have a SIB at the moment with similar issues. A friend had to leave the area on a work contract and we retrieved his SIB from the marina after a few months with lots of barnacles etc. I cleaned it just with water then it sat in our garden undr the rain for a while and has to be said a lot has cleaned off naturally. Might grab some Silky products out the garage to see how we can clean up the rest as he is hoping to collect from us in a few weeks. Good luck with yr project and do let us all know how you get on as reviews on different cleaning products are always useful particularly to those of us who leave boats in the water for extended periods.
Please feel free to ask questions about training & RYA qualifications, if you're not local we will try to point you in the right direction!

Re: cleaning the SIB
I use these two products from polymarine. Not the cheapest but give brilliant results
