If you haven't already done so, could you include Pacer Marine on the list of chandlers you are considering?
They are generally competitive on their web prices and from my point of view (and I guess also Paul's), they are close enough to visit when I want to buy stuff so can save the shipping costs and I know from recent threads that others have used them for outboard repairs/servicing as well as chandlery.

For those north of the border (including me during the summer) I can also recommend Bosun's Locker at Port Edgar Marina, South Queensferry.

Thanks Roger.. feedback is exactly what we need.

I have emailed several of the main chandlers we all talk about on here...They all appear to have a great delivery service and reputation.
I'm in hope one of them will take the time to look around here and see how many purchases the guys make.

Can you add a discount gravy supplier ?

I might get some extra cool stuff .. if I save a little bit on a new trailer this year

It is a well documented fact that the Scots are a canny race .. and anyone who reads Gurnard’s adventures will appreciate my wallet is “tighter than a duck’s arse” . I have no problem in saying “No yae canny get any o ma hard won pension”.

I have been a wee bit depressed lately (as any aging miser worth his salt will be) with news of Council’s raising tax bills .. power companies promising higher prices .. broadband costs rising .. even the supermarket removing my Xmas loyalty discount on the Best Gravy money can buy.

To cap it all my washing machine died last week..and it was only 18 years old .. the replacement washed my months gravy allowance straight down the plug'ole .. so you can perhaps imagine how I felt when my favourite forum mentioned the word “support” in this thread ?

However despite my miserly nature .. I do realise the forum is still a totally free and fun place to be ..so I decided to show my thanks to the guys by offering to cover a very small amount of their server bill.. to see if I could wrangle a little supplier discount off a new trailer. I have always enjoyed sharing a tin of gravy with friends ..and I suspected that if I gave F Rib and Sibs one of my tins.. I would get one of their’s back.

So.. I sent Martin a tin of Gurnard gravy ..expecting to get a tin of Newcastle Broon Syrup in return. So you can imagine my surprise when the trailer supplier via F Rib and SIBs sent the equivalent of a bottle of the Golden Lotion back. It made my day guys

So this post is my way of saying thanks to the forum and also to the supplier ..for saying back to me .. thanks for your business (Supplier) and thanks for supporting our forum (Martin and Paul)
