Much easier!
It started here (8).jpg
Hard work
OK, last ditch effort to get in the frame this Month :D
These were taken some time ago. Danny and myself wanted something to get us to otherwise un-fishable marks on Clunie Loch near Blairgowrie.
We ended up buying 2 Bestway inflatables as budgets were tight, even made my own oars! We had lots of fun on this sheltered small loch - caught bugger all but we were on the water and the bug bit hard. :yay
In these 2 pics we decided to see if I could tow Danny - hard work but do-able if it had to be done. After 10 minutes or so it was time to head for the bank and pack up, I'd had enough of rowing so put my brolly up and sailed back in as the wind was in the right direction - it was quicker than rowing!! :clappy 2nd pic was taken on a mobile - this was about 2008.

Mmmm - not in the order or places I put them - never mind I'm sure you guys can work out which is which
Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

Hi Steve
I'm guessing from the picture that that's the beach by the harbour, looks like the Room With A View restaurant in the background.
If you get round to the next bay, Silver Sands, then be sure to go into the Sands cafe.
The food there is great! :thumbsup

:cheers
cheers

Hi Roger

You are spot on - that's the beach and the restaurant in question. The rig in the distance is currently anchored just off Burntisland...

We do go to the Sands Cafe quite often, although so far never by boat. Will have to try that sometime as we were thinking of places we could head to for food and drinks in the boat.

Thanks for the tip about the slip in East Weymss by the way! :thumbsup

:cheers

Steve

You gotta go by the chosen topic Paul..which as a reminder ..was ..

“Post a photo of your boat ..which illustrates it well. Think of it as an advert to sell the hobby to someone who is not a boater.”

And I have to admit..its a very close call trying to get a winner this month.

I have hummed and hawed for several days over it.. before deciding .. so here are the results for April ..

If the topic was story telling then my choice would have been easy.. Warder would be winner..but it wasn’t about stories this month ...so no place..

You certainly sold yourself well Paul..but I am not tempted to buy your boat..so you get fourth place.
Comp4th.jpg
I loved Andy’s spray dodger .. it deserves a mention for colour coordination ..so gets third place..
Comp3th.jpg
Steve takes second place with a great advert for a Honwave boat..and in very tidy condition too.
Comp2th.jpg
But first place for April must go to Gwozhog ..because he is one step ahead of the rest ..as clearly .. he has sold his boat to the wummin.
Comp1th.jpg
Well done Gwozhog.. its your turn to start May’s competition..pick a topic..start the thread and choose a winner at the end ... :thumbsup

My thanks to everyone who entered in April’s comp..it was close.. so do all try again next month. :D

Nice one Gurnard.
Still got a keen eye for the ladies I see :D .
Think the prospect of getting 3 ladies thrown in along with the sib would sell inflatable boating to any man :drive

Thanks everyone. However Looks can be deceiving my friends. The ladies were out of booze on holiday weekend and wanted me to make a run to the store for them. I told them fine but first you must worship my dinghy for a pic lol then I will make the drive. :drive
I once dated a girl in High School and her Father told me I would never amount to anything. He was right!
