Re: Finally got them inflated
hi @sladonians with regard to "old hands" theres no denying im old but i am a complete novice. i bought my first rib only last may, took it out 5 times. twice with fellas from the forum.other than that its been on my own so i need the hours/experience on the water now ,hopefully in company to pick up a few tips. so im up for any outing that i can make it to. im going to get my new boat out now and run the motor up, its been sitting in my garage for almost two months now and according to the tacho fitted by BMC as they were building it ,the motor has run for 0.1 hours so about 6 minutes. i intend to give it half an hour in a tub

Ah excellent. The only way to get experience is to get experience. Looking forward to building hours in the sib. Have done ribs and sailing for a few years but want something more portable and spontaneous.sonny1 wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 08:31hi @sladonians with regard to "old hands" theres no denying im old but i am a complete novice. i bought my first rib only last may, took it out 5 times. twice with fellas from the forum.other than that its been on my own so i need the hours/experience on the water now ,hopefully in company to pick up a few tips. so im up for any outing that i can make it to. im going to get my new boat out now and run the motor up, its been sitting in my garage for almost two months now and according to the tacho fitted by BMC as they were building it ,the motor has run for 0.1 hours so about 6 minutes. i intend to give it half an hour in a tub
I plan to run my new Tohatsu in a wheelie bin for about half an hour initially as well. Then take it out on the Hamble to run in properly.

Re: Finally got them inflated
Thanks, am hoping to start on the electrics today.
Bow cover came from Excel Inflatables, it’s tailored for Excel boats but no reason why it shouldn’t fit others as well.
