Dont know if its true as i read it in the sun but the uk is expected to see snow drifts and significant local flooding at the back end of this month due to a storm called summin or other heading this way from the north.....pribably a load of crap but could scupper the trip.

Storms...
We aint afraid of storms :Boxsmile
Hopefully you have duff info... (Please !!!)

It'd be great if we can pick somewhere we are able to get a full days boating in, Nothing worse than cutting the day short due to tides and such. We're all in fribs/sibs so should be able to manage with little draft surely ?

Ya don't believe the papers/media do ya Matt and Martin ..... for instance take Brexit :whistle :rofl

Joking aside Poole harbour could be the safest bet if you want a full days boating, enough daft with my posted tide times, large parking area, large shallow slipway, sheltered out of the wind to a degree, plenty of water area without going to sea if it's lumpy, very few speed limit areas if anyone (Martin) wants to go frib-hooning and most importantly somewhere to tie up for lunch (Pub) ;-)

Chichester Harbour, sheltered out of the wind to a degree, can get shallow in places, large parking area near a pub but a walk to and from the slipway once you've launched, 6 knot limit within the harbour area, at high water we can access Langstone Harbour to increase mileage/exploring, if the weather is kind to us we could circumnavigate Portsmouth and return along the seafront IF it's not choppy :|

River Hamble, no large parking areas but 2 slipways to use so the group could be split up to accommodate this depending on numbers, governed by tide times if you're wanting to explore up-stream, a few pubs to visit for lunch, access to the Southampton waters that's somewhat sheltered from the winds but gets choppy, access to the Solent if the weather is kind to us.

Just a few thoughts of mine but aware of folks travelling times etc
Please chime in folks :chat
:cheers

River Hamble, no large parking areas
Large amounts of parking at warsash paul and free just a bit of a pump slipway.
