The Inflatable Boat Community, A Great Boating Discussion Forum Providing Free Help And Advice For Owners of Ribs, Sibs, Foldable Rib And Other Small Water Craft.
I'd like to see you fit that in your boat Stray
The idea of camping is because we'll be in a random location, who knows where ... we just pack the tents, and head of and find where we're going to camp
F-RibsAndSibs.Com.... Because it's a big old WWworld out there
However, it's only for 1 night and the banter, yarns and camaraderie of an 'Adventure' together with 'like minded' boaters makes it all worthwhile IMO
You can still come and join us over the period, join us on the Friday outing, go fishing/exploring whilst we're away overnight Saturday and join us on our return on the Sunday if you wish
Put your name down and tell us what you're intending
I'm with you there Mr Stray - much prefer a solid roof over my head.
I have a 20 foot caravan, half a dozen differing sized tents.
I even sleep in my SUV.
I use my caravan electric cable with an adapter to heat and dehumidify the SUV when I'm on a site.
I do prefer dossing in the car over sleepin in my tent where the opportunity for mains electicity exists.
However living on the West Coast of Scotland there are so many stunning locations that are inaccessible by Caravan / Motorhome.
Hence my SIB and tent come into their own.
A few pints of gravy and you have your own in built Central Heating system.
No need to go and freeze out there in the wilderness
I do love my nights under canvas - particularly when you're in good company, around a glowing camp fire and in stunning surroundings.
For me these outdoor nights are the one's that i will remember in years to come.
These days are the days that i will reminisce over in my photo album.
I will tell my grandchildren all about my tenting activities - doubt I will tell them of my glamping on a campsite activities tho:cheers
