Phil

I'm sure we will do lots of group trips to the IOW in 2018
Phil wrote:I’d have been interested in this Chris now that I’ve got a suitable vehicle to haul the F-RIB, but I’m in France that weekend.

I’ll keep an eye out for future trips. Would love to do the IOW crossing one day.

Just ran up my engine in a bucket to check all is ok in readiness for the trip on the 20th. All systems go subject to the weather gods.

Way too early for the forecast to be reliable at all. I will however look at alternative dates in case it doesn't change for the better.

Things arn't looking to good for Saturday at the moment!
Obviously thing could change between now and then, but as a heads up the forecast is that the conditions will deteriorate during the course of the day.
Temps around the 1*c feeling like -2*c with wind chill. Rain throughout the day and sea states reaching 1.8m wave heights.

Could be testing conditions for the less experienced! :?

And the more experienced will probably be found in the bar :rofl

Aye Andy I've looked at a few other forecasts and looking iffy innit :(
Let's see how it unfolds and make a group decision on Wed/Thursday so folks can reschedule their plans for the weekend
