Just did my best folding of the T38 so far. All worked pretty well thanks to advice from the forum. Now I just have to see if I can shoehorn it, single handed, into the car. :!:

See you all in the morning. :thumbsup

Awesome trip today guys!
We covered around 27 naughtical miles (which is a smidge over 31 statute or “normal” miles)

So a massive thanks to @chris moody for organising a great day, right down to a pub which would serve food to people wearing wellies, waders and dry suits!

Roll on the 6th of April!

A good day in great company, was surprised how short a time it takes to get there, good food, & great fun on the water. Weather was kind apart from a slight bit of drizzle along the way. I think Chris & Martin got some film.

I enjoyed that. Thanks for the great company for my first salt water trip in the T38. The presence of a group of much more experienced boaters was very reassuring and my confidence grew during the day. I’m used to moving at the 4.3kts speed limit on a flat calm Thames so getting up on the plane and skimming over to Ryde at 13 or 14kts was exhilarating.

However, after lunch I tried out hunkering down on the floor, rather than the seat, and gave it the beans. And managed nearly 27kts :o

Excellent fun. :D

Sadly my video footage is a load of old rubbish. Had the angle all wrong so its 99% sky with occasional and very brief glimpses of sea and boat. Hope a bit of video from the others comes out alright. And @ARO did you get any footage from the drone?

I didn’t get the stills camera out much, but did catch a line of sibs, F-Rib and a Takacat in the harbour at Ryde.

I'm a bit knackered now though.... Sleep time.
