Thanks Donny, fair looking forward to it,I'll need to get my engines sorted out,I've now got 3 a 8hp Mariner converted to 9.9hp,a 25hp Mariner which I'm desperately seeking throttle cables for and a year old Hidea 15hp 4 stroke, the latter is heavier than the other two put together. If any one knows of any cables going let me know please,it's a Yamaha engined Mariner.

Re: Scottish Gathering 'Wild West Adventure' 2016
With much respect chaps can I draw your attention to my post of Wed Feb 24th announcing that unfortunately entries to this event were now closed.
The reason entries were closed was because we had reached our self-imposed maximum of 10 boats launching from our chosen site. This was to protect the future of other Adventure groups using this facility again with the owners knowing we were not taking advantage of their hospitality/facilities. Sites like this to run such an event as this are extremely rare, hence why we need to protect it.
Launching of 10 boats is one thing but also consider the 10 vehicles, 5 trailers and 3 launching trolleys our hosts are storing for us during our visit.
It would be great to have more boats to take part in this event but we also have to consider the Saturday ‘Wild Camping’ aspect of the event. Without going into all the rules, ‘small groups’ would not be classed as such with 10+ tents IMO, forcing the group to break-up and camp in smaller groups which this event isn’t about. Indeed smaller groups of boats launching from different locations last year proved problematic with the group almost missing the crucial times of passage to destination points because of tide times, another reason why a 10 boat limit was self-imposed.
Needless to say, if anyone has to withdraw from the event you’ll be the first to know via PM.

Re: Scottish Gathering 'Wild West Adventure' 2016
bmb779, sorry you feel like that, but there was always a limited number of places for this trip, just as last year.
Nobody was conveniently factored in at all, the person you are no doubt referring to was "factored in" as you put after a face to face meeting on a group outing prior to finalisation.
Many of the members on here keep in touch by social media, text and telephone. Just because the whole conversation wasn't forum based does not mean he was factored in at the last minute.
We have had to turn down other members before your "can I join the reserve list" question.
