Loch Ken
Michael (Warder54) and I will be on Loch Ken for a few days from 16th May. This is our annual fishing trip, and, while this isn't an organised event, if anyone is in the area it would be great to meet up.

Re: Loch Ken
Worth thinking about, looks like a nice place, are there charges for the loch and any speed limits?

Re: Loch Ken
Yes there are charges - can't remember how much just now. Have a look on Loch Ken holiday park site for more details. I do know you can now get a short stay ticket, before it was annual or nothing. As for speed limits - yes - but - no info on where they are, the Dumfries and Galloway council have not published them, but - you have to buy the water depth and speed guide to find out where they are. Or just go for it and wait to get pulled!
Looking forward to it anyway, loads of fishing to be done during the day, then sit on the bank with a beer fishing in the evening :-)

Why am I here - I should be in my boat fishing!!

Booked the Caravan park from the 16th. Probably going to be the maiden voyage, for me and the rib. Look forward to meeting up.

Have fun guys!
You’re not far from Castle Douglas and there’s a cracking brewery on the high street: https://www.sulwathbrewers.co.uk/
Enjoy the fishing, beers and company!

Re: Loch Ken
Nice one Cliff, see you there! We'll probably be on the water fishing when you arrive, but I'm sure you'll find us. My caravan is a Buccaneer Barracuda, we're trying to get a pitch near the water so you should find us ok. Taking the awning for socialising- plus wine, beer and Malt of course!
