Who's still up for this weather permitting?
I like my leisure boating to be fun so high winds or high chance of persistent rain, and I'm not going. But if the weather is conducive I'm still up for this trip.

Excellent, sounds like we will have a decent sized flotilla.
We can get into Newport harbour from 1125 onwards

And we need to be out before 1530 (but we will be gone long before then)

Sunset is 1636 so I guess we need to be heading back by about 1400 latest as it will take nearly an hour just getting back down the medina.

3.3m height of tide will give us 1 metre depth at the shallowest point (about 200m before the harbour)

I’d have been interested in this Chris now that I’ve got a suitable vehicle to haul the F-RIB, but I’m in France that weekend.
I’ll keep an eye out for future trips. Would love to do the IOW crossing one day.
