Whilst exploring after the Wild West Adventure 2016 I drove down the Craignish Peninsula and found the following, which Paul B is going to research further as a possible backup launch point for a future WWA:
Craignish 1
Craignish 2
There is also the remains of an old ferry jetty and ruined ticket office near the end of the peninsula but it's a bit high to launch from!
Craignish old ferry ticket office
Craignish old ferry jetty
And for the benefit of mattswan who likes wrecks, I spotted this :

Yup..I know the area reasonably well. Due to the Dorus Mor tide race which passes from the entrance of Loch Craignish..and heads towards the Corryvrechan Whirl Pool..I would not recommend this for a WWA. Often when there is a wind blowing against the tide rip..it is very confused waters ..even for large boats. As we plan in advance for the WWA meetings..its impossible to know what the weather will be like..so really need a location with alternative routes.
Loch Craignish itself is a lovely loch though..but quite limiting for a full weekend. I have not launched at the Lagoon ..I launch near the old church..in a wee bay to myself..or come into the Loch from Crinan
In this U Tube..the land near the race is Craignish Point
