Derwent water - kettlewell car park.

Post by Stewy » 23 May 2019, 14:59

Launched here today, first time on Derwentwater.

Natuonal trust car park, free for members or £7.50 a day.

Big open pebble beach, there is a gap in the trees that allow you to wheel the boat down to the beach in the bottom left of the car park, other wise access is blocked with big boulders.

It's an OK site for a sib with launching wheels or a sib carried to the shore. More suited to canoes and kayaks really.

However there aren't many launch sites on Derwent for sibs. Good to share these launch sites.

Derwent also has quite a lot of shallow water so be cautious :thumbsup
