Boating around Harris
Just booked for a weeks holiday on Harris, and was wondering if anybody has been up there before to do some sibing or just boating, thinking of taking the Honwave with us, we are going to be based near the bottom of Harris and as we haven't been before I've no idea if it's good for the little boats

Re: Boating around Harris
I have been over there windsurfing. You should have a good time. I think there is a slipway at Leverburgh and you could maybe launch off the beach near the golf course. The west side is very exposed though until you get in the shelter of Taransay. The sound between Harris and North Uist looks a great place to explore but the tides run quite strong and you are a bit exposed but on its day it will be great.
