From Bristol to Devon, Cornwall, Dorset & Wales

Post by Richard2Barwell » 21 Jul 2016, 14:35

Afternoon folks,

As some of you may have seen in my intro and outboard posts, I'm a complete novice to SIBs and actually motor boats in general (I've done a little sailing).

Being so new to the game, I'm yet to get out on the ocean, only Bristol Marina and up the River.

I want to look at some day and weekend trips w/camping and thought I would see if a) anyone on here was also Bristol / SW based and b) if anyone can could recommend a good place to start?

I'm seeking an upgrade, but at the moment I'm running a 6HP Mariner on a 2.6m Honwave, so small stuff. I own a VHF Radio and am waiting on the delivery of a kill cord (hopefully this week). I also enjoy the odd bit of fishing so if i can throw in a line for some mackerel to stick on the BBQ then that's a bonus!

I'm new so be kind :D
