It really is a nice piece of kit for the money. I have looked at quite a few rifles before buying this one and to be honest, I would have to spend at least twice as much to get a better gun. Your BSA Paul is a well proven gun with a great number of followers and I nearly bought one but just liked this a touch more.
The EOS is new to the UK and made by RA Sport of Italy. Not a name any of us knew but they have been making quality guns for other companies for many years. They started to make in their own name some years ago producing wild boar rifles and then over and under shotguns but mainly sold in Italy and then slowly spreading into other countries with Malmo Guns taking the agency this year.
I am really surprised at what you get for the price, multi choke (5 chokes), adjustable stock, summer / winter but pads, fitted gun case and all tools needed for adjustment..........................£895. My first thought was it will be nasty cheap rubbish but how wrong was I. I took it to the final of the league shoot series that I am involved in and put it out for people to look at. The feed back was amazing with guys like myself using guns running into £3-6K could not believe this gun could be sold at this price.
Malmo import Cheddite cartridges, top international trap cartridges and they wanted a gun to import and Cheddite introduced them to RA Sport but instead of selling at prices similar to the margins that other importers make, they wanted to sell volume and so kept the price down. I won't say on here what margin some importers make but it is mind blowing, the EOS is priced to sell guns and they will.
I have used the EOS a few times and can say in all honesty that I am talking to them about a dedicated Olympic Trap gun for myself and another trap shooter who is an England contender with custom stocks for the job. Not sure how that will pan out yet.

Re: Passions of mine
Well after a shed load of problems with my Rotex gun losing power at a fair rate of knots, I found out that the regulator design is a big issue with quite a few owners having similar problems..............................sooooooo, out with the old and in with the new, a Weihraugh HW100KT, must stop nowwww.

She can sniff out the pray both in air and on ground :-)
Lovely gun!. No I must not buy one... I got more than enough hobbies (according to the wife)
