Just wanted to share my how to !

Hardwood Plywood Sheet (Th)18mm (W)610mm (L)1220mm from BandQ £19.80
Cut to (100x20) x 3

Screwed 2 of the cuts together to make it rigid and same thickness as the original seat.

Dulux trade primer 2 coats in white (courtesy of my shed)
Caprinol Outdoor paint 3 coats in blue (courtesy of my shed)

Added 2 hooks from ebay @ £8 delivered
Total £27.8

PS: I used handheld electric sander to smooth and curve the edges for a comfortable seating experience.

As a newbie, this is exactly what I've been looking for. I didn't know that you could buy the seat clips seperatley and therefore been dreaming up all manner of webbing methods to attach a diy seat too. They have gone up in price now though, £21.99 in the bay of E's at moment.

I did exactly the same for my T32 , i think my plastic bits were £5 on slow delivery.

I had cheap chinese plywood hanging around. Wood glued up , filled and epoxied the edges.
One coat Exterior primer, 3 coats exterior gloss. In a very fetching deep purple which harmonizes nicely with the honwave blue.
2 years old now still doing great. did a 36 NM pounding with my 17st last year no probs.
I even made mine with a suspended shelf that takes the FF/ GPS battery and my spares tool box.
I also strap a garden kneeler to the top for comfort which also holds the tool box in place.

Well done mate i recommend others to follow your example £15 - 20 DIY is much better than £120 commercial.

Yes i know they are slow from china but its early enough in the season to be able to cope with the delivery time.
