Hi and welcome, late to the party and some good answers here. I have one question: what pump are you using to inflate the floor? to have any chance of planing with your set up, the floor needs to be rock hard. If similar to the Honwave's, the floor needs to be at 0.8 bar, a normal pump will not get there. If under inflated the floor will flex and ripple when on the move and increase drag. Good luck, at least you can get on the water, unlike us in Scotland!

Hi guys, cracked it today thanks to all your comments, went out to do a bit of fishing in the sib, got to half throttle with the arse end down, then gave it I bit more and got up on the plane :D what a difference! Managed to throttle back to 25% throttle and still crushing along on top, well chuffed :yay few days ago I thought I’d bought the wrong motor, so glad I posted, thanks guys.

Awesome! There is nothing quite like the feeling of popping up onto the plane for the first time.

Hey fishfinder!

I have had my 6hp tohatsu for a few weeks now. I have a 3.3m tobin sports, great little engines!

Im onto the last 2 hours of bedding in, which in my instructables says your allowed a few minutes of 100% throttle in every 10.

I can plain within the 75% throttle allowed @ 13knotts with me and my son(2yo 14kg) & daughter (4yo &18kg). 14.5knots with my son alone and I haven't tried it solo yet. I borrowed a handheld gps off a friend and compared it with my speedo on my phones GPS and got same results. Pretty impressed with how they go!
