Launch wheels

Post by seaspray » 03 Dec 2021, 12:25

I'm now the new owner of a Zodiac Aero 270 + Yam 6HP.

This is often used by my wife and I on and around stony beaches. She find it difficult to lift so I'm looking for some launch wheels. The tender is routinely packed in it's bag so the wheels would probably need to be detachable. ANy ideas/recs appreciated.

PS. You can't search for 'wheels' on this forum (apparently it's too common a word). I feel sure there must be posts discussing this already....

Hi Seaspray I got ones off amazon make fencon I think, they are held on the transom in guides and the wheel bar is held on by quick release bolts mind put plenty of marine sealant around the fixed parts on the transom.

a "beachmaster" search should find a few on that type including my own observations of course.

Thanks for that - can't find that make anywhere though ... :(

This chap seems very keen on the SUPROD wheels. I'm wondering how well they'll cope with stony beaches...
