Tohatsu 9.8 4 stroke ordered!
I have been debating which outboard to buy and i decided to use my weights in the garden to help with the choice and the difference between 9.8hp 38kg and 15hp 45kg doesnt seem like a lot but i found that i couldnt do much with my arms with 45kg and the 38kg was manageable and i could lift it upto my shoulders. Not a lot of difference in weight but it wont put me off using the boat as i can move it on my own. Just my view on things hope it helps someone one day

Good choice and an excellent method there!
I have found that every kilo beyond 40kg makes a huge difference.

Not a complete idiot - some parts are missing.

For me its not so much the weight but the awkwardness of shape of outboards that makes them difficult to lift. My Suzuki 8hp is just 28kilo but finding a lift point doesnt seem easy, it might be my age showing as well though ;)

I have the 9.8. It is just on the limit for me. I wouldn't want anything heavier. Good choice.
