Just found this thread update Martin. Pretty windy as you say, but the 501s is more capable than many give credit for. Did you do the transmitter mods - battery and antennae?

After I read all the reviews I bought the advanced version buddy, so the long range is fitted as standard.
Loving the tx, feels very positive and comes with gimbal controls for if I decide to fit an external camera later.
Aftermarket Tx battery bought & fitted, bought two extra drone battery's too and some connectors to run the dual drone battery mod.
Fingers crossed I'll be getting 30 mins flight time with 2x batteries fitted.
The tx battery mod shows the full 12v + even after a 20min flight so far superior to the standard carrier fitted with the AA batteries.

I'll get some video shot a posted up when I come back from our holidays.
