Looking good mate and a very tidy set-up 8-)

Chris Pell known as mcc on here should find these mods interesting with regard to his 2016 Coastal Challenge

Hi guys
Made the fixtures and fixings myself.
And yes I have considered a Rib.
Unfortunately I bought a Sib first.
I think I've maxed my Sib out in customisations now.
Looking at a Whaly or Funyak next..........

I too was considering a funyak, they look very good and almost indestructible. They are heavy but if you're trailer launching anyway they make an ideal rib alternative. I've almost certainly decided just to wait till I can afford the RIB instead though.

Hi guys Martin I bought the aerial with my radio.
It was going to be fitted to a hard she'll boat with Cuddy but the buyer bailed out.
Got it for a song at my local chandlers.
Blootac I'm gonna wait till 2017 and buy something new.
Do like the bomb proof durability of the polyethylene tubs :D

I mounted the aerial today all looks good fingers crossed it was worth the hassle. :whistle
Just need to order some shiny new stainless M8 bolts and it's good to go.

Looking good Kaman .............one large erection for maximum performance (as the actress said to the bishop).....it'll be interesting to hear how it performs regarding distance gains when you get back out on the water 8-)

I'd be a bit concerned about it being a huge bull whip in the snotty stuff.
But as stated before hight is good.

Lol.

Dunno about VHF performance gains???

My tv picture has never been better

See if I can pick up sum of them Dutch movies :P

It's practically the same set up that my mates dad has on his Alaska 500 (same aerial / mounting height, similar VHF)
It is way better than my handheld.
Picks up transmissions that my handheld detect.
Much clearer when speaking to the Coastguard.
Fingers crossed it was worth the hassle.
Still have my handheld clipped on at all times as well mind!
