Airgo 12v pump

Post by Rossymtb » 30 Aug 2017, 19:49

As some of you may know I was searching for a 12v two stage Pump for my honwave.

There was the bravo btp for around £105+
Genovo gp800 for £100
Andes 12v 2 stage for £60ish on eBay
Or the Airgo two stage from gooutdoors for £54.99

Apart from the bravo having a better spec from the other three. The genovo,Andes&airgo have very similar specs.

In my mind the genovo from mes marine was out of the question since they sold me some dodgy launch wheels.

The Andes didn't have any reviews.

And the Airgo has terrible reviews but gooutdoors is local it's the cheapest and I could take it back if it plays up.

From the start the instructions aren't the best but after watching plenty of YouTube videos of different pumps I knew how to change psi, kpa&bar settings.

It works with a fan output upto 0.9psi and 2 minutes then switches into compressor mode upto your desired pressure.

It worked well. Although when checked with a manometer it's a bit lower than the LCD guage states. Therefore I had to connect it again and raise the pressure slightly. Over a few uses I will know what pressure I need it to display to be correct in the tubes.

Overall for £55 I'm very happy with it. Image

Many thanks for the review Rossymtb :TY
That's a good price and if it does the job and suits your needs then bingo mate :thumbsup
It's not a pump I'm familiar with so do keep us posted about your extended use results
:cheers

I use the same pump and as Rossymtb said it has terrible reviews on the go outdoors website. But I think this is because most people don't read instructions and just expect to plug it in and turn it on. But you have to set the pressure you want first then start it going. I have got two of these pumps because there is a guy on my local car boot who sells go outdoors returns. And he sells these pumps for £4 each so I bought 2. If anyone would like one as a backup I could pick one up next time he is on the car boot. And you can either collect it from me or i can post it

If he is on the car boot this weekend I'm going to buy a couple off him anyway. Your welcome to one if you want like I said they only cost £4 and should not cost any more than £10 postage

I went to the car boot on Sunday but the guy wasn't on. But I'll keep an eye out for him and get some when I next see him
