I've bought exactly the same items I found in the uk from China and the States at a fraction of the UK prices, and that included import tax and royal mails charge for.. whatever it is they actually charge for lol.
Customs clearance time can be a bind if you're in a rush, but other than that..IMO, don't worry about importing.

Sounds like you're set to save money and still have the perfect item, perfecto I'd say !

I've ordered 4 of the patches so I'll post more details and photos as and when I do them when I bring everything out of hibernating but I was looking at fitting one of these seats as it would be great for me to sit on to control the outboard and it would act as bracing for the transom when it's got the 40hp mariner on the back

Patches arrived today I am very surprised at how quickly they arrived well pleased with them the only problem was with ups they kept trying to deliver them while I was at work and they wouldn't leave them because I had to pay for the customs charges that ss just under £30 I finished work early today so I could pay for it can't wait fir the warm weather next year so I can glue them and get the seats made

Happy days mate, look good and just what you wanted 8-)
If the long range weather forecasts are to be believed you'll not have to wait long to fit them :star
