Petcock position for portable gas tank

I have a 6hp 4 stroke Japanese outboard motor (called a Leadallway)and I tried contacting the maker and got no answer. My question is what position normally do you have the petcock in to use the portable gas tank only..it has a small onboard gas tank too. Instead of pulling the hoses one by one to see how it works maybe someone can show me .thanks
