Fitting tachometer to 20HP Suzuki EFI

Post by goldeneye243 » 16 Jul 2021, 11:41

I want to fit an electronic tachometer to my 20HP Suzuki EFI outboard.

Any tips as to how I go about doing so? Some pictures would be great if anyone has any :)

We just fitted an inexpensive induction tach/hour meter to ours. Five wraps around the HT lead, popped lead through the gear change grommet and zip tied head unit on to front handle.
Simples :thumbsup

On our Mariner we popped lead through a spare grommet and fixed head unit to front lower cowl with self adhesive pads.

Almost the same here, I used velcro (sticky back) and attached mine to the front of the cowl for WOT tests, once thats over I will reattach under the cowl as an hours run meter.
