Glad you found this info helpful as I noticed the price drop 3-4 months ago however the dealerships seem slow in adjusting their prices :whistle :wedgie :no

Went for the bigger 25hp in the end because of the unbelievable price drop on this engine and great weight. Not to heavy for the boat at 62kg. My son and I manage it fine when lifting onto the boat. :D

Suzuki 25hp
Had the engine on the water for its first trip last weekend breaking it in. Half throttle and 1.5m waves. Goes great and boat gets on the plane fast even in the rough conditions. Delighted!! Never had so much fun in a long time.

We have a couple of T40 AE owned by customers this seems to be a good package but the motor is very very heavy, And also a pig to service.
The Yamaha F20 has just been updated. It appears to have a few nice upgrades, Very easy to service and very easy to access everything under the cowling , And a couple of new carrying handles on the engine tray to make transport easier,
However its not EFI like the Suzuki but im not so sure on how a small portable with EFI will fair in the long run,

The Suzuki 25hp is heavy but 1 person can still lift it. I tend to get my son to help! Makes it easy to lift. The boat can handle it no problem and gives it plenty of reserve power. The Suzuki 20hp would be a great match against the Yamaha F20. To be honest it's down to individual preference! It was a weight to HP choice for me. The Suzuki EFI engine was the lightest for the HP and a great match to the boat. Great technology I'd say but time will tell. As a mechanic myself I'd say it's a fine engine to service also but dealer will be doing that under warranty.
