Avon S400 Sportboat.

Hyperlon boat, but don't know it's age, the engine is 2002 Yamaha 15hp 4 stroke, with very little hours and the trailer is as new. It's been sitting in a garage for several years.
Rubbing strake is perished in places, has a patch near the bow inflation valve, the only leaks I can see are from a couple of the valves( keel and port tube). Engine starts fine and pumps water, the steering is smooth lock to lock and the hydrolic tilt and trim works as it should. It's only been used on Loch Lomond and has never seen the sea.

Now the $64,000 question, what's it worth?
The reason I ask, is that my mate has been offered it, but it's no good for what he needs. So I thought I'd put it on here to help give the owner an idea of its worth (and maybe find a buyer). The boat is located in North Yorkshire.

It's too heavy for my mate to launch single handed as he's getting on a bit. :thud

Tough question …. !

a short shaft 15hp Yam like that - with elec start & remotes is a rare mix.

Personally I love it .. I'd date the boat to 1988/89 ish - maybe ?

As a package its maybe £1750 on a good day - the engine being a good £1000 of that ( ideal to be put on a 3m Avon Rib tender with centre console for example). Trailer & boat £750 maybe ?

Problem really is that a boat that size now would be a RIB on a trailer. As you've found its not a light set up - so doesn't benefit from the attractivenes of storage of pack up SIB ( even with floor boards) .

Happy to be challenged on my thoughts ...... just my best guess .....
