Honwave pins
I've just been out fishing and dropped the pins into the brink. The pins are the ones that connect the wheel stem to the bracket and allow for the wheels to be lifted up or down for extened tabs. Does anyone please know where I can get replacements? Also does anyone know what size the pins are?
Thanks
Dave
Thanks
Dave

Re: Honwave pins
I no longer have my Honwave, so I can't help with that. Sorry.
What I did used to do though, is clip the snapper onto the eyelets on the transom to save the above happening.
It thankfully Worked perfectly and I never lost my pins. Very worth while following the idea.
I'm sure Paul will take a pic for you to explain.

Re: Honwave pins
Hi Dave. The pins measure 7mm dia x 70mm long approx. like Martin says I fasten my pins onto the towing eyes on the transom with a bit of para cord or similar , see pics. Not sure where you can buy some but should be easy enough to make a couple up from some stainless bar

Re: Honwave pins
Thanks Paul that's great. Now the problem. Where do I buy 7ml pins from? If I manage to get some replacements, I'll certainly take your advice.

Re: Honwave pins
Just an update regarding the pins. I've ordered ss rod to make some, and I also contacted Honda Marine to check for spares. Their reply was to order a full new set of wheels (kit) as they don't do spares.

Haha. Sounds about right, order a new set of wheels , just for the pinsDavo wrote:Just an update regarding the pins. I've ordered ss rod to make some, and I also contacted Honda Marine to check for spares. Their reply was to order a full new set of wheels (kit) as they don't do spares.
Should be a fairly easy job to make a new set Dave, just take your time drilling them for the hole, and don't forget to tie them onto the transom this time
