I’d decided not to pepper transom with holes until boat’s been tested on the water. This is the third warranty replacement T38 and not holding my breath it’s any better than the first. Ha! :D

WTF.... Ok, so i knew you had issues with the first and then the dealer went bump..
So did Honda Marine replace the 1st boat, and you've returned that to them also ??
(Answers may be omitted if in legal cahoots)

Yep, first boat replaced.
Replacement looked marginally better but port sponson had small leak under rubbing strake adj cone end.
So second boat replaced.
Third boat doesn’t look as good as second but has no leaks. Jury’s out until I can get it wet.

Honda UK a pain to deal with. As purchasing dealer EBC no longer trading, my nearest dealer, Boatworld, have been doing a sterling job helping me out. Big thanks due guys!

PS; Non of these boats have had a perfectly symmetrical keel. Reckon that doesn’t exist and no way have Honda yet sorted their quality control issues. Caveat Emptor!

I emailed the Russian wheels vendor and asked what load they can take, they can take 130kg.
At first this bothered me as the other design can take 120kg and mine have ended up wonky.
I think though it is the round design of the usual trolley design that is the problem, not their weight loading.
I also asked about combining the postage on three items they sell, and the combined figure they gave me was more than just ordering the items individually, so worth bearing in mind if you order unless they made a mistake with the quote they give me.

Interesting read. I've just ordered a new Honwave T38 IE2 from Seamark Nunn. I am hoping I get lucky with the quality control issues.

if there is an issue do you go via the supplier or Honda marine?

Hi Ben,

Point of contact is through the purchasing dealer if there is an issue.

Fingers crossed your new boat will be okay though. Apart from this little niggle, they are great boats. Enjoy :thumbsup
