Hello all
After getting my honwave t40 I'm still struggling every time I set it up as to which way up the aluminium floor side rails should go. I spray on a bit of diluted washing up liquid to help things along with the instal but I'm never sure if I've got them in the right way up. I know they need to be staggered opposite sides but the longer ones have a different profile to the shorter ones. I presume they should be pushed right back tight to the transom. Sorry if this sounds a bit amateurish but I've never been shown the correct way up. Any help would be fab and maybe even a photo would be even better.
Many thanks
Pabs

Pabs
I've not assembled a T35 or T40 myself but whilst you wait from owners, here's what I've found for you on Youtube which might help

Re: Honwave aluminium floor side rails
Thanks paul
Ive watched both these and many more but none are close enough to see the rail clearly.
Thanks all the same. Im hoping someone will have a phot of the end elevation of the rails led flat so it shows whitch way up they go.

Re: Honwave aluminium floor side rails
Pabs, the side rails sit just short of the transom and should sit in line with the metal rail on front floor section.
You have a long at the back on one side and a short oposite. then long at front and short oposite as you have said...
The long rails are different on the 2014/15 to the late 2015/16 due to strength issues specifically with the t40. Basically the long slats where the same design as the smaller but they were snapping do they changed the design on the long only to start with....your slats then on the later 2015/16 boats they changed the small to the same design as the long. Smaller boats never had the issue.
If I remember correctly..........the thicker section sits on the the top as they are rounder on top to cushion the tubes and the small are self explanatory due to the way they are shaped again thicker part to the top with the curved shape for the tubes to sit on.
I never really had issues after using washing up liquid with the floor slats but I did keep it inflated and on a trailer most of the time.
I suggest calling Honda marine Southampton and ask as they are a stockist and your boat was their Southampton boat show demo boat.

Hey Matt
Spoke to southampton marine and they explained. The flat of the section should be down and the arch should face the tubes.
Thanks
