Not directly related to boating, but we have got rid of our large static caravan that was based at Normans Bay and splashed out on a motorhome with a large garage, to fit the boat and bits in and will now be travelling further afield to camp and boat for the weekends come next Spring :-)

On my Honwave T30 I use paracord and small carabiners to attach things to the various rings inside the hull or the grab rope going round the top of the hull.

Thanks for all the great advice guys, got rid of the heavy grapnel now and replaced with a lighter Bruce style, not had to use it yet, but will update when I do :D

All of this is making me want to obtain a certificate, then I can use the radio without worrying about the legalities! So crucial question - what are the (ballpark) figures involved cost wise? The exam is £60 and I'm pretty sure the course was just over £100, but the course cost may be higher as I ...

Although I have done the full course and found it enjoyable, not onerous, there was some time spent covering stuff related to fixed units that isn't generally relevant to typical users on here. If you have any channels to feed back to the powers that be, maybe it's time to consider a cut-down versi...
