Re: Bravo pumps

This talk about pumps has got me wanting, no I mean needing an upgrade from my current BP to a one piece battery powered Bravo pump. My wife doesn't know it yet but she has a Bravo 20-1 on order as my Christmas present. While this will make assembly of my F-rib easier as I won't have to move the car...

Re: Bravo pumps

Correction
my pump is a BP12 not the BTP as I mistakenly said previously. The BP 12 works fast and does a complete fill in about 5 minutes. A good pump will save you time and frustration.

Re: Bravo pumps

I have a Bravo BPT12 that fills a F-375 every weekend.

The valve in my F-Rib is a Liefield Valve that has 3 bars inside at the bottom. My adapter came in the repair kit and differs from the Halkey-Ruberts adapter shown in your picture, The halkey-Roberts has only 2 bars inside at the base.

Cold Weather Boating

Here on the Great Lakes in Michigan I am wintering my 20 hp Mercury this weekend and storing the F-Rib 375. I have total respect for all the boaters that go out in cool or colder weather. Personally, I have never been on my boat wearing more than a bathing suit and life vest. My concern this summer ...

Re: Life goes on : (

Life does go on and I pray the day comes soon when you can think of you father with loving memories and a smile rather than a tear. I lost my father just over a year ago and I am now beginning to think about him with a smile and know you will also. I pity the local fish!

Re: water cooled engines, winter

Here in Michigan the outboards need to be stored for winter as the lakes totally freeze. I have 20HP EFI Mercury and checked the manual an dealer for advice. Fuel, oil and Lower unit oil are a must. The water cooling is self draining in the vertical position as mentioned by Chris is adequate. Here is...

Re: Ideas for "How To" videos

Chris Great idea. A set up and disassembly video for F-Ribs would be great as they either come from the factory with no instructions as mine did or from what I hear the factory instructions are in Russian or if translated to English not as complete as one would like. I remember not finding the air v...

Re: Boarding ladder

Mitch and Cliff
Thanks for your pictures and thoughts on ladders. I was looking into one because while getting these old bones int the boat from shallow water is not a sight one wishes to see a second time I think I could be in real trouble from deeper water!
