Re: Free nav maps for iphone

I did pentewan to polkerris just at the weekend :)

Thanks - love Polkerris. It’s a private beach I think - Rashleigh Estate - assume you can just rock up, beach the boat, go for several beers at the Pub and then disappear. No harbour master or dues to pay? :cheers

Free nav maps for iphone

Any advice on the best apps for working out distances between points on the coast. I wanted to work out how far Pentewan was to Polkerris and back the other week so that I could judge whether my fuel tank would get us there and back. Erred on the side of caution in the end and the chop was pretty ba...

Re: Using a knife ina SIB

Thanks for the quick responses. Wife is asking for ideas for my birthday - she'll wish she never asked with all the kit I've got my eye on :D All the gear and no idea :drive

Using a knife ina SIB

Thinking I need a knife of some description (cutting away morning lines from the prop perhaps) but worried about dropping a sharp pointy thing on my high pressure floor! I have seen a rounded end knife but can’t for the life of me find it again. Any ideas ? What do others carry? Thanks in advance.

Looks like that's Pentewan?
Is the picture of the ramp the one at MeV or did you use the tractor at Pent?
Would love to know how far you went out - across to Fowey or Polkerris.
Not there until May 2019 - first time taking a boat so would be good info for me.
Thanks :cheers

Re: Hello there!

Sounds like you got the Honwave bug like I have ! I too amd a newbie and have done the same as you - t38 plus 20hp. You get used to the OB weight and it gets easier. There are loads of tow bridles on fleabay if you dont fancy the DIY approach. Try this one - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=h...

Couldn't be happier. Wanted one for the last 3 years since I did my level 2 course. The amount of times I'll be using it each year a SIB is perfect.

Yes it's the air floor. Whenever I've seen guys with the alu floor versions they've always struggled moving them around. Easy with this for me and my 11 year old son.
