Re: Is it time to move on

Yes, looked at the Elling. Max motor 15hp and 42kg. As my motor is 20hp and 52kg..(having elec start and power tilt trim). I'm sure it would be OK.. But over powering/over weight as a matter of course for a new combo is not really the way I want to go as a start.. I don't think. Insurers may have so...

Taking a SIB abroad

Hi I am planning a road trip to Crete in the summer with my family. It is an extended holiday and I am visiting family. We will be staying at a place called Milatos about 200M from a little marina. I am told there is no charge for using the marina or slip and that I need to get a "paper" from the co...

Lomac 350 engine transom mismatch for 38 years??

Hi, I am very new to boats, but wanted to get my hands on an inflatable for over 30 years. I recently bought this Lomac 350 built in 1979 and in truly excellent condition. It came with a Mercury 9.8hp motor of the same vintage and these two have, it seams been together for almost 40 years. Both have...

Mercury 110 9.8hp no top end performance

Well I finally got me a SIB and all is very good apart from a slight issue with the engine. I'm new to the world of outboards but have worked on numerous petrol and diesel automotive and motorcycle engines. I have just bought a Lomac 350 which came with a very tidy Mercury 9.8 hp 110 2 stroke circa ...
