Its the same for Loch Lomond, I stuck them to a piece of plastic board that they provide and strung them between two handles on each side, cord running top and bottom to prevent it twisting, easy to fit and easy to remove

There will never be any sparks from properly installed connections on a battery. Loose connections will produce heat and eventually a source of ignition, really loose connections may (I’m talking hanging off) produce a spark but you would notice other problems, ie other electrical equipment randomly...

It’s not a problem generally speaking to join or lengthen a cable even a battery cable as long as the correct terminations are used the joint protected from movement and waterproofed. All good thanks, just under 5hours run, can wot now for a quick blast, 5hrs to go for full use....If you are going to Loch Lomond don't forget you have to register the boat ! And my top tip would be get there early(ish) in the morning, by 1600 it was starting to get full of jetskis.... fullsizeoutpu...

Gelcoat repair from any chandler, mix it up slap it on sand flat bob is your proverbial etc.....easy repair
