Roger, on my T38 I just use a 5 meter ratchet strap to raise the cover front to back. If the engine is removed then I tape some foam to the end of a length of 2 x 1 and g-clamp it verticaly to the transom, adjusting the the height as necessary, to run the strap over. HTH

Re: Highfield Classic Deluxe Review
In all the years I've owned multi million £ Super yachts, none of my staff/crew have reported any of the issues you've highlighted in this video :Confused Just goes to show that if you buy cheap, you buy twice :rofl Seriously though, excellent video review with lots of useful tips and and very inter...

Re: New mercury outboards
Honda manual start, tiller handled outboards 8hp up to and including 20hp have a 6 amp charging circuit, I know my 15hp does and I find it very handy. Not sure regarding Yamaha, Suzuki etc but it will be on their websites. As your post dosen't mention what your intended purpose for your boat is, ie:...

Re: New mercury outboards
They currently advertise them on Ebay at £2,659 inc delivery https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/264354059826 so £2,350 including running in and an oil change seems almost too good? :Confused Hope I'm wrong but I'd be inclined to ask a few questions as to why the price difference, just to make sure. Also I see...

Re: Portsmouth seals
Wow, now that's what's called 'starting 'em young'. Wonderful memories to capture and a couple of photos to display at her 18th birthday party
(it's got to be done).
Not being familiar with the area, I'd be interested to know what the large structure is in the background?

Re: New member jonsy
:welcome to the forum. Yup, been there. Had a 165 with Suzuki 70 for around 6 years but it was too much money to have tied up in a boat I only used maybe once a month. Dont feel now if looking at a sib on the driveway when I can't get out for any reason. Anyway plenty of expert sibers on here with p...
