I did exactly that on an over powered Dory i once had.
My problem was that it would sit in a big hole at slow speeds and heel over slightly at full throttle.
Not as good as smart tabs, but with a bit of fiddling i got them to work....
Unfortunately i don't have and good pictures of them just this!

Re: Hello from Glasgow
If you’re going to buy a sib that you trailer all the time, why not just buy a rib :Confused Classic. Oh the irony. :rofl Nice one Martin :thumbsup I've got coffee all over my keyboard now! :rofl There is one point that gets overlooked with solid floor SIB's and that is that they usually come in 2 ...

Re: Humber 4 meter Rib
It's been a couple of weeks now, so i suppose i'd better do a bit of an update. (bit of a heads up, i've got a new phone and it's either something in the settings or it just can't cope with all the Orange) I've not had much chance to work on the RIB as the Jobs on the Trophy have been mounting...

Although at the moment i've far to many "next things" going on.... :rofl I love this part almost as much as the build. It's the not knowing whats about to la...

Re: Changing propeller nut torque
I must admit I've never torqued a prop on in my life. I guess when you've been turning spanners as long as I have you kinda get a feel for what's right.
But I'm with the froglet on this one.
I wouldn't back off to fit the split pin, not at 12nm.....
