I still have my F-Rib 360, but I have not used it in a few years.
Maybe business owners can pay to keep it running in exchange for a logo? Just a thought?

Re: RAILBLAZA mount removal
I have one on the nose of the boat.
Last time I looked it was still on OK, however I got them to send a new pad because my first attempt pealed at the corners.
So maybe they have a bad batch

Re: Anywere to sail local to Derbyshire?
You might find one second hand on eBay. I sold an 1984 version of that engine to one of our members ( @James ) for spares or repair so he might have a spare seal. You do sometimes find people on eBay who are breaking an engine so that might be a good way of getting the part you need. Hopefully, tha...

Raptor Paint 2k (Bed liner paint) on Outboard
Hi A couple of years ago, I sanded down my gearbox and painted it with primer and Hammerite spray paint. The engine is a 2-stroke and running it in the tub has made the Hammerite flake off and looks a mess. It needs re-painting as the only paint on show is primer :D I am thinking, why not paint the ...

Re: Outboard started after nearly 2 years sitting
Well chaps
1) Carb stripped and rebuilt
2) Complete new water pump installed
3) New wiring loom made for the Kill switch
4) All parts greased up
5) Complete new thermostat fitted
The pee water is really strong and has a slight sting to it when you put your fingers there.

Outboard started after nearly 2 years sitting
It is hard to believe that an outboard I pretty much built by souring parts, Inc power head has been sitting in the garage for 2 years. It was covered in dust and cob webs. I fired it up and she started straight away. Two issues though. 1. She isn't pumping water 2. Carb is leaking fuel. So not too ...

Re: Sound proofing Outboard
The sound doesn't annoy me.
It would just be nice to have a conversation with another boat while idle lol.
The heat side of things did cross my mind.
I think I will just leave it as it is. I'm not after a 4-Stoke just yet as I love my Johnson

Sound proofing Outboard
Hi This weekend I am going to get the 2-Stroke out and prepare it for my next trip. One problem I have is it's pretty loud at Idle which means I can't really hear other boaters when just sitting on the water having a chit-chat. Has anyone added some kind of material to the inside of the cover? My en...
