When you say "lure fishing" is it fishing with Shad type lures for bottom feeders such as cod, or cast and retrieve lures for Bass, Pollock etc?

Unless you've got a Honwave (with trim tabs) use transducer pole that attaches to the transom with a bracket. Plenty of designs to choose from, get the strudiest you can fit/afford.

The one I have is made from much thinner material than an Ikea bag, folds up small and sheds the water quickly.

When trolling, for Bass, we've found 3mph is a good speed, is it about the same for trout?
