Might have a chance of a 2005 two stroke 9.8 tohatsu in good nick for £1000 or a nearly new same 9.8 4stroke for £1500 not sure what’s best? Like the idea of a 2 stroke for easy transportation

Had no intention of buying new but looking more and more likely as unable to find what I’m looking for in the used market.
looking on eBay,gumtree every few hours is starting to get to me

Thanks again harrison Had a message from seller,seems more hassle than it’s worth 🤔, I’ve been set on a 2 stroke for their lightness and less hassle transporting etc, but just been looking at the same model tohatsu in 4 stroke and looks a nice light (37kg) outboard anybody have any info on them are ...

Seen a brand new one of these advertised quite local to me, but advert says commercial sale only ?
Is this just because of emissions?
Is there a way around this and if I do manage to buy it will I have problems selling it in the future?
